Unused Identity for O+E

I designed this mark for an upcoming Onyx+East project that, while selected, was ultimately shelved when the city rejected the name. The development moved forward under a new brand—one I was equally excited to create.

When asked to create a mark for a townhome development named “Vita”—Italian for “life”—I aimed for a design that reflected the name while remaining authentic to its central Indiana setting, which had no direct ties to Italian culture. The result was a versatile leaf symbol that conveys life in its own right while subtly suggesting the form of an olive branch.
